Exciting Lineup of Presenters at Free Training Day - Mid West 2024!

We are thrilled to announce an incredible lineup of presenters for Free Training Day - Mid West, happening on July 27th, 2024, at the Foundry Church in Lenexa. This event is all about building a strong martial arts community, and we couldn't be happier with the fantastic experts joining us to share their knowledge and skills. Let's introduce you to our amazing presenters:

Jeff Goodrum is a lifelong martial artist, owner of a martial arts studio, and a black belt in Shotokan Karate. Jeff is a competitive grand champion in Extreme Forms and Black Belt Point Sparring, and also competes in MMA and kickboxing. His Freestyle Karate Curriculum is designed to help students achieve their goals in entertainment, combat sports, and health.

Mark Warner has been training in martial arts for almost 50 years. A black belt in Kenpo Karate, he has also trained in Northern Mantis Kung Fu, Shaolin Kung Fu, Dekiti Tirsia Siradas Kali, and Baringin Sakti Silat. Tashi Mark's wealth of experience and dedication make him an invaluable part of our event.

Victor Guarino started his martial arts journey as a pre-teen and earned his 1st degree black belt in Seigido Ryu karate in 2007. Now a 5th degree black belt in Seigido karate and a 4th degree black belt in Seigido jujitsu, Victor also trains in Tien Hu Bagua Zhang, bringing a diverse set of skills to our event.

Karen Guarino began training in martial arts at age 12 and has earned black belts in Taekwondo and Shin Nagare karate. A former zookeeper and animal trainer, Karen's passion for teaching and working with kids shines through in her classes at W.O.L.F. Martial Arts.

Matt Nather brings 20 years of teaching experience to the table. Matt emphasizes building confidence through simple and fun self-defense techniques, creating an empowering learning environment for his students.

Wyatt Meriwether is an amateur Strongman competitor and coach, a classically trained ballet dancer, and a martial artist with a background in Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Kali/Escrima, Krav Maga, and MCMAP. Wyatt's extensive expertise and passion for fitness and health make him an inspiring addition to our event.

Kellie Thomas is a 6th degree black belt in ITF TaeKwonDo and the owner of TaeKwonDo KICKS. She has been teaching specialized women's self-defense classes, i-STRIKE, for over 10 years, empowering women through her knowledge and dedication.

Jake Miesner has over 30 years of martial arts experience and has taught around the country. His focus on developing confidence through fun and simple self-defense techniques ensures that his students quickly grasp the material and achieve successive successes.

Craig Wharem began his martial arts training at age eleven and has earned black belts in Kenpo and Kung Fu. He continues to train in Kali and integrates elements of all three arts into his classes, offering a rich and diverse training experience.

Read Wall has 37 years of martial arts training, specializing in the internal Chinese arts of Xingyi, Bagua, and Taiji. As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Read brings a deep understanding of the human body and movement to his teaching.

Jen Hersh is a fitness enthusiast with a background in competitive HEMA, boxing, and fitness coaching. As a Wellness Coach and Corrective Exercise Specialist, Jen empowers athletes of all levels to reach their potential in a healthy and sustainable way.

Jeremy Lesniak, the founder of Whistlekick Martial Arts, is a lifelong martial artist with experience in gymnastics, fitness, health, and nutrition. He holds black belts in three martial arts and is the host of Martial Arts Radio, the number one podcast for traditional martial artists. Jeremy's holistic approach to martial arts and personal development is truly inspiring.
