Why Martial Summit exists

More in common than apart.

Martial Summit brings the community together in a respectful, ego-free environment where people can learn across style lines, build real relationships, and remember why they started training in the first place.

01 / CONNECT

Train with great people

Meet martial artists from across the region and beyond—different systems, different ranks, one shared community.

02 / EDUCATE

Expand what you know

Learn through physical sessions, classroom presentations, discussions, and perspectives you may not encounter at home.

03 / ENTERTAIN

Enjoy the experience

Martial Summit is serious about martial arts without taking itself too seriously. Expect energy, friendship, and fun.

Know before you go

Martial Summit do’s and don’ts.

A few simple expectations help create the welcoming, useful, and respectful experience Martial Summit is known for.

Before You Roll In
  • Pre-register when possible to save time and receive a free lanyard.
  • Bring a notebook, water bottle, and extra uniform if you plan to train across multiple days.
  • Plan when and where you will reconnect with friends or teammates.
Check In Like a Pro
  • Stop at registration when you arrive; pre-registered attendees can move through quickly.
  • Print the schedule at home or photograph a posted copy.
  • Ask staff and volunteers when you need help.
  • Saturday lunch passes are $12 and the location will be announced that morning.
Train, Learn, Repeat
  • Be on time when possible. If late, enter quietly and make sure the presenter sees you before joining.
  • Stay open-minded—experience does not eliminate the opportunity to learn.
  • Take notes so you can retain and apply what you learn.
  • Ask before filming or photographing presenters and attendees.
The Way of the Community
  • Introduce yourself. Everyone is there because martial arts matter to them.
  • Invite new people into conversations and training groups.
  • Stay humble, kind, and willing to assume the best of others.
Fuel, Rest, and Recharge
  • Eat, hydrate, and rest so you can get more from the weekend.
  • Wash your hands often and help keep shared spaces healthy.
  • Take breaks when needed. Watching can be valuable training too.
