Over the last 20 years, there's been a funny trend among blog entries; the majority of them seem to apologize for not writing more often. I never thought I'd write one of those, but here we are.
Over the last few months, I've come to grips with a trend that many others have been speaking on for years - social media is past its prime. See, I didn't want to admit that because I didn't know where it left us. But now, I do.
We will, as we could have been all along, prioritizing our own channels - namely, our own websites and our own emails. We have control over them, and we don't need to be frustrated when a message that goes out to (theoretically) 7000 people is only seen by 25.
We'll still put things out over these other channels, but only when they're placed here, first. That may mean the mix of content you see from us will change - I don't know, yet. And I am sure it will change over time.
