Over the last week we've confirmed two more tournaments and signed on as the premier website sponsor for a tournament circuit. If that makes us sound busy, it's because we are!
The first of the two tournaments is the Worcester Classic, now held in Uxbridge, MA. I competed at this tournament as a teenager and enjoyed it. I've known Shihan (then Sensei) Mello for a long time, and he was part of the reason I attended college in Worcester. He's a class act and so is his event. It's now held at the Habitat for Sports in Uxbridge, which is very close to Worcester. It's a large space and everything went very well last year, for us and for those in attendance.
The second tournament is the KICKSUSA National Championships in Gardiner, ME. This one is held by Kyoshi Brent Crisci in the Gardiner Area High School. I attended this tournament, too, as a child. whistlekick has never been there, though, so I'm looking forward to meeting some new people.
Lastly, those of you that follow us on social media may have seen the announcement of our sponsorship of S.M.A.R.T. - State Martial Arts Ratings and Totals, the Maine martial arts circuit. I've known a number of these people over the years and it's nice to be in a position where we can help out. They put together a great ad for us - here it is:
They were wonderful to work with and I'm looking forward to a long relationship with them.
If you're interested in either of the tournaments mentioned, you can check out the IPPONE & SMART circuits, which keep the information. Our updated list of events is here as well as emailed in our newsletter. You can sign up for the newsletter here.
Until next time!
