Event Review: 33rd Annual Super Summer Seminars
Posted by Shopify Post Author on
I had the opportunity to head to Herkimer, NY last weekend for two full days of martial arts training dubbed the Super Summer Seminars. This was the 33rd year of the event, which was held at Herkimer College. It was an exciting and busy weekend, but one that was certainly worthwhile. Many of us have trained at martial arts summer camps - you go somewhere, pitch a tent and sleep on the ground. By the end of the weekend, you're not sure if you're sore from the training or sleeping in the dirt. Not so with SSS, as the event...

We were in Maine for a second weekend in a row, this time in Saco, Maine for the 9th Annual Summer Spectacular hosted by Shihan Andy Campbell and Dragon Fire Martial Arts. The event was held at XL Sports World, which is a great facility. The space was very open with plenty of room for spectators. The event hosted a number of vendors other than us, including a tattoo artist that was airbrushing onto the event awards - custom tee shirts! We saw the shirts last year and it's a great alternative to trophies and medals. Everyone seemed to love...

We spent Saturday at the 19th Annual Friendship Tournament held on the University of Southern Maine campus in Gorham, ME. Many of you that follow us on social media probably saw the picture of the kickmobile parked inside the venue. The ability to drive in and out at the field house made this an incredibly easy setup and take down. Our first customer showed up to the booth at 7:15 am and we didn't get more than a couple five-minute breaks until the end of the day, 3:30. Between spectators and participatns there must have been over a thousand people...
Just an Update

The first things you notice about a superfoot seminar are the genuine enjoyment mr. Wallace has of teaching and his amazing sense of humor. Since these blog posts usually come out after tournaments, it's been a few weeks since you've seen one. While many organizations publish updates for the sake of publishing updates, we try not to do that. We update you when there's something worth reporting, and today there is.For those of you that follow us on social media, particularly Facebook, you may have seen the photos we posted of Superfoot Bill Wallace on Friday. He was in New...
